WAINFLEET JOINT SCHOOLS - WAINFLEET

Located in Wainfleet, this combined District and Catholic School is comprised of load bearing masonry walls, structural steel, and open web steel joists. Saturated soil conditions were a challenge throughout foundations, requiring constant de-watering and the use of grade beams for foundation support. The building also incorporates a day care situated between the Catholic and District side of the school with a shared gymnasium. The site has new soccer fields, enclosed day care play area, and extensive shared parking.
